Life Is Beautiful Privacy Policy
GGAMI Studio (“we”) handles the personal information of people who use the Life Is Beautiful app (the “app”) in accordance with Korea's Personal Information Protection Act and related laws. The app has no sign-up or login, and we run no servers for it. From version 1.2, Google AdMob collects information to show ads in the app, as section 4 explains.
1. Information kept on your device
The following stays on your device only and is never sent to us.
| Information | What it is | How to delete it |
|---|---|---|
| The life in progress | The progress of an imaginary person the game generates at random. It is not information about you. | Delete the app |
| Past lives | Summaries of up to 30 finished lives. | Delete the app |
| Sound, vibration and language settings | Whether sound effects and vibration are on, and the language you picked. | Delete the app |
The app does not use analytics tools, location, photos, contacts, the camera or the microphone.
2. Information we receive
| When | What | Why | How long we keep it |
|---|---|---|---|
| You email us | Your email address, your message and any attachments | To read and answer your message | One year after the matter is closed, then deleted, unless a law requires us to keep it longer. |
| You join the TestFlight beta | The tester name and email address Apple passes to us, beta feedback and screenshots you send, install and session counts, and crash logs | To invite and manage testers and to fix bugs | Deleted from App Store Connect when the test ends or you leave it. Information Apple keeps follows Apple's own policies. |
| Diagnostics through Apple | Crash logs and similar data, if you allowed “Share with App Developers” in iOS | To fix bugs in the app | According to Apple App Store Connect's policies. |
3. Sharing and outsourcing
Apart from the advertising in section 4, we do not give personal information to third parties or outsource its processing, except where the law requires it.
4. Advertising (Google AdMob)
From version 1.2, the app shows banner ads on the title and ending screens, a full-screen ad when a life ends, and a rewarded ad only when you choose to watch one to undo a choice. When an ad is requested, Google LLC (1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA) collects the following directly. We don't receive this information.
- The advertising identifier (IDFA), only if you allow tracking
- Other device identifiers, and your IP address, which may be used to estimate your approximate location
- Ads you see and tap, and other interaction data
- Performance and crash diagnostics
Google uses this to serve and measure ads, prevent fraud, and for analytics, and processes it in the United States and other countries. In the European Economic Area, the UK, and Switzerland, personalized ads rely on your consent, which the app asks for through Google's consent form; other ad serving relies on our legitimate interest in keeping the app free. See How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services and the Google Privacy Policy.
Your choices:
- When the app asks, choose “Ask App Not to Track” and the advertising identifier won't be shared. You can change this later in iOS Settings › Privacy & Security › Tracking.
- In the EEA, the UK, and Switzerland, change or withdraw your consent any time with Privacy settings on the app's title screen.
5. Deletion
Information stored on your device is removed when you delete the app. Messages and tester information we keep are deleted without delay, so they cannot be recovered, once the retention period ends.
6. Your rights
You can ask to see, correct, delete or stop the processing of the personal information we hold about you, or withdraw your consent. A legal guardian of a child under 14, or someone you authorize, can ask on your behalf; please include proof of that authority, such as a signed letter. Email us at the address below and we will tell you the result within 10 days.
7. Children
We do not collect personal information from children under 14, or under 13 in the United States.
